FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What is ACE?

A. Ardsley’s Community Enrichment (PTO) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose purpose is to strengthen, enrich and encourage the educational and social environment of Ardsley School District.  We are a group of dedicated Ardsley parents and teachers working together to enhance the educational experience of every student. Its goals are to complement the school curriculum with additional opportunities for students to learn, socialize, communicate, and grow.

Q. What is the difference between the PTSA and ACE (PTO)?

A. The PTA must pay dues to the state and national organizations and abide by state and national group rules.

PTO, on the other hand, is a generic term that stands for “parent-teacher organization.” It represents groups that choose to remain independent. They operate under their own bylaws and do not have the same restrictions at the PTA

Q. What is the goal of ACE?

A. The goal for Ardsley Community Enrichment will be to fundraise for Kindergarten to 12th grade. This will give the opportunity for each grade to raise funds individually for special events and field trips. Any money raised by each grade will be kept separate to their Graduating Class. We will refer to these fundraisers as “The Class of Fundraisers”. We will have dedicated parents working on fundraising and events per grade
